Finally, finally... I got a good picture of a bee!
In the great big freaking version I scanned, you can see the fuzz on his little bee bum and the detail in his wings. It looks a little blurry once it's all compressed to shite.
My dreams of being a bee photographer may just come true!

If you just did a tiny bit of unsharp mask or smart sharpen, you could bring out some hairs

and what nice focus-- the bee looks so soft! when i was little, i actully used to pet them, very carefully. they'd mostly just get annoyed and fly off...i never did get stung that way.
