Subscription Expires!

Sun Jun 5, 2005, 7:07 PM
Eep! My DA subscription expires tomorrow! Looks like I'll be without one until we get back from Chicago cuz I'm trying not to spend all my money! (ha!)

Went to Jerrett's this weekend in Nanoose. Good god, I'm so freaking exhausted. I watched SO many movies this weekend, including an awesome kung-fu movie called Breathing Fire (so bad, yet so funny!)

I've had something like food poisoning for the past week, so I've been skipping out of school. And now I remember that I'm missing my Thursday class to go to Chicago, which means I'm going to get further and further behind. BOO! I have to go see my teacher and try not to fail this class. Stupid me.

Anyway... Off to sleep. I had to talk to too many people and be in too many crowds. People just freaking exhaust me...

Camping and a Great Movie

Sun May 15, 2005, 8:39 PM
Simon, Chris and I went camping at Lightning Lake! It was super quiet and green, and the lake was very pretty. We even caught a few fish today!

It's so freaking great to get out of the city, even if it is to a campground that has running water.

I will post some pictures as soon as I get them printed!

Also, we just got back from Crash, which is a fucking amazing movie. REALLY good. I'd place it in my top 5 favourites. I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but it was extremely well made. Flawless!

Birthday Madness

Thu Apr 7, 2005, 10:14 PM
Today is my birthday! (the 7th, incase the date has already changed)

Simon took me for dinner at Samba and I ate so much meat... Oh man. Brazillian Barbeque is awesome. And live music!

Then we went for gelato. And found that if it's your birthday, you get a FREE gelato! So I got green apple and guava (my favourites! Yummm)

THEN! We went for cupcakes (to bring some home) and the lady gave me an extra FREE cupcake because it's my birthday.

Hell YES!

Nothing is better than free stuff on your birthday! :D

On other news, I may need a chest Xray because of this weird breathing problem I've been having. Sucks.

--

Annnd... THANK YOU, Derek for the lovely Get Up Kids tshirt, and thanks for getting us tickets to the concert. :D I get to see another concert in Chicago! Wee!

Procrastination

Thu Mar 31, 2005, 9:14 PM
It really is amazing how much stuff I can find to do when I'm supposed to be writing an English essay!

I LIKE 'The Joy Luck Club', but man, it's hard to write an essay about it. Bah.

I found a great website called FreeCycle . You can give away things, or get someone else's stuff. I've already unloaded a TV! It went to a really nice family. :aww:

I've changed my plans yet again...

I'm going to end up at SFU to get my bachelor of education. It's really freaking complicated. It involves a major in english, a certificate in liberal arts and I have to make sure I get all the classes I need to apply to the professional development program that I need to graduate. PHEW. I've been mulling over a crazy amount of websites, trying to sort everything out!

Simon and I are attempting to organize a few years worth of photographs. It's a big freaking job. Our living room is covered in photos! Yikes!

And I've finally started an RRSP. Booyah! Ideally I'll live until I'm 65. Otherwise it's just a big waste of money. ;)

Simon's birthday is on Saturday, and mine's on April 7th.

So The Get Up Kids are breaking up. I'm pretty bloody disappointed, as I've NEVER seen them live. It's become my sole purpose in life to get to their last show in Kansas City, MO. GodDAMN I want to see them live! :(

However, I have good news: Tak is back home! Turns out someone else's cat is really sick, so it's out of the building, and our cat is IN! Yay! She's been gone for almost 7 months.

Otherwise, things are going pretty good for me right now. I am disappointed about The Get Up Kids, though. :(
