50mm 1.8. It just FELL TO PIECES.
I was dropping off film to be developed, and I noticed the manual focus was sticking a little, I looked down at my camera and the top piece (that moves when you focus) was crooked. It had unstuck from the base of the lens. I have NO freaking idea how this happened.
Admittedly, the lens is only like $150 and it's plastic and cheap, but I didn't DO anything to it.
Fucker.
And since it's my only lens, I had to go buy a NEW lens.
And yes, I finally caved and bought the 85mm 1.8 USM that I've been lusting after for a year now. I'll call it an early birthday present to myself...
It's a beauty, this lens. So crisp and clean. And built like a freaking tank. It'll take a lot to ruin this baby.
Oh, but my curse hadn't ended.
The roll of film I dropped off? Yeah. It's blank. I don't know what the fuck happened, but I guess it wasn't advancing properly in my camera (despite the fact that my camera was COUNTING frames, it was just stacking images on top of one another). Bastard.
Oh, this is a little cool, though...

Going to try to get my lens fixed on warranty, as I didn't do anything to it at all. Cheapo crap.
